Screen Print and Embroidery Design
For my time at Liberty Imaging, I was employed as a Graphic Specialist primarily focused on design for apparel decoration. A large amount of our business in apparel came from Western Kentucky University, specifically the WKU sports teams. The most important factor in these jobs was maintaining brand standards with the colors and logos of the university, while also developing new and creative designs.
bowling green hat
For WKU’s football team, I was tasked with creating an embroidery design for trucker hats that gave a retro feel. The final design we ended up going with was an original design of Bowling Green in 3D Puff featured on the front, as well as the vintage WKU red towel logo on the side panel. This hat is also now being sold at WKU Alumni Hall stores.
Big red Volleyball tee
This screen print job for WKU's volleyball team features 3 Big Red's, WKU's mascot, playing volleyball. The far right mascot was provided by the customer, and I was tasked to illustrate two more in the game that fit within the style of the original.
Vette city football leather patch
For Western Kentucky's football team, I developed this leather patch design. The process in which this was decorated was laser engraving into the leather and then sewn onto the hat.
