Ninth Life skate

Skateboard Design and Illustration

Ninth Life Skate is a skateboard brand concept created for skaters who like to live on the edge. The concept behind the brand was to play on the idea of cats and the long running myth of them having nine lives. Like cats, skateboarders tend to flirt with danger and have a free spirited outlook on life. My goal for the imagery of the board was bold, handwritten text in the background with a mashup of photography and illustration in the foreground.
