Layout and Editorial Design
For my last two years at WKU, I was apart of the design team at Cherry Creative. Cherry Creative is a division of WKU Student Publications where we published special sections on a variety of topics, produced sponsored content published in print or online through the College Heights Herald or Talisman, and designed advertising campaigns to get your message into any WKU Student Publications products.
Cleaning Playlist
For WKU’s spring Housing week 2021, Cherry Creative developed a website and publication to go hand in hand with the housing fair. My responsibility was to design a ‘cleaning playlist’ to be featured in the Housing special section in the WKU Herald Newspaper. The 2021 Housing Guide received 3rd place for Best Living/Renter’s Guide in the College Media Business and Advertising Managers National awards for College Publications.
WK Liquor AdS
WK Liquors is locally owned Bowling Green liquor store. Through Cherry Creative, I have designed various ads for this business, including posters, newspaper advertisements, as well as Twitter advertisements featured on the WKU Herald's Twitter account.
Homecoming Schedule of events
For WKU’s Homecoming week 2021, Cherry Creative developed a publication to celebrate all things Western during homecoming. My responsibility was to design the schedule of events to be featured in the Homecoming special section in the WKU Herald Newspaper. I chose to feature an illustration of WKU’s infamous red towel to represent the spirit and tradition many Hilltoppers hold close to their hearts.
Graduate gallery postcard
For WKU’s graduation publication, I was tasked with creating the illustration and layout for the postcard that was sent to family members of the graduate. The illustration I developed features The Guthrie Bell Tower on WKU's campus, a staple landmark that can be seen and heard throughout all of the campus.
